Software Engineer - Sync

Description

Box’s Sync application is a critical on-ramp to our cloud content management offering. You will be creating highly efficient, flexible and platform independent framework that will become core Box Sync framework and will allow Box to provide real-time, seamless synchronization of cloud content to the user’s machine. This will also involve coming up with new approaches to syncing, highly efficient and optimized sync algorithms, and creative ways to overcome network limitations.

You will work closely with other engineers to come up with new collaborative features of box to the desktop (Windows or Mac) that will take the Box’s Sync technology to the next level. Your work will reach millions of internet users and help continue Box's leadership as the web's file-system, giving access to the desktop and other devices. Qualifications:

1+ years programming using C/C++ or Objective-C (Cocoa)
Experience with Python will be a plus.
Experience developing application for either Mac or Windows
Good object oriented programming and design skills.
Strong data-structure and algorithm background
Basic understanding of relational databases, and data modeling.
Experience in Client-Server architecture is a plus.
