Ruby on Rails engineers - Small Team, Green-field project

Description

CollabNet is seeking Ruby developers interested in working on a green-field project with a small, mature Agile team. We have a unique opportunity -- building a new product from scratch -- and we want your contribution! Ideal candidates are excited to work in a collaborative, Agile development style with a small and productive team of peers. While Ruby and Rails expertise are ideal, we value aptitude and willingness to learn above all else. Deeper Java, Python, or similar OO software engineering expertise is sufficient if you're relatively new to Ruby/Rails.

Requirements

  • Computer science background in Ruby, Java, Python (OO)
  • Basic Ruby programming skills
  • Developer who tests: unit, integration, and system
  • Experience creating dynamic web applications (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for multiple browsers
  • Enjoy shipping software

Bonus Points

  • Knowledge of Ruby and Rails best practices
  • Experience creating a REST API
  • Experience working on a Scrum team and iterative development

About the Team

CollabNet's Bellevue group has been doing Scrum and XP practices since 2003. We release to large corporate customers frequently, with a low rate of defects. No pagers, we believe in work-life balance. We take pride in our workmanship and take quality seriously (TDD, continuous integration, cross- functional teams).
