I need someone to have a look at the etherpad-lite plugin for sketchpad. The current version of the plugin is [created by redhog] (https://github.com/redhog/ep_sketchspace).
We want to use it for collaborative assignments at university.
It needs to do the following things (in order of importance)
We need someone to add support for Source Maps to UglifyJS.
It's been widely requested by the community and Mihai Bazon (the UglifyJS maintainer) is very open to merging a pull request with support as long as it doesn't break the basic functionality of the project.
Let's get an implementation for this wrapped up by October 23rd. Working as a team is allowed, especially as Mishoo will have to approve the pull request. Non-US developers will have their payment proxied through Paul Irish, in order to get around some pesky issues.
I am looking to hire a freelance C developer to improve the libre (BSD) licensed font editor, FontForge
Rates and tasks are negotiable: There are many different kinds of improvements I'd like to fund, from mathematics-centric features to UI changes to fixing reported bugs to finding and plugging memory leaks.
What you work on depends on your interests!
We recently worked on updating the guide about the installation of the W3C Validator on a GNU/Linux server (like Ubuntu):
https://github.com/tlvince/w3c-validator-guide
Now, we'd like to see if this validator can be hosted on Heroku somehow.
infoburp is a linked data explorer and editor, try at infoburp.com and get the code at code.google.com/p/infoburp. I want to add a file upload tool, and a way to add hyperlinks as node content, and have the page pointed to fetched into the node.
Thanks in advance for any help.
I need someone to solve the bug in the GPL licenced Secondlife(TM) virtual world viewer code, known as the "4096 bug". This bug is not a problem for users of Secondlife but those that choose to run their own regions or connect to a free grid using the opensource OpenSimulator server side backend.
More detail on the bug: http://metaverseink.com/blog/?p=222

I'd like to see a working exploit for CVE-2012-0002 (the new RDP hole) as a Metasploit module.
Get a working implementation of FlexViews and document its use. Flexviews maintains a materialized view in mysql - want to see a basic implementation done and documented.
Freenet plugins can currently be loaded or unloaded, but not disabled. This would offer a convenient way to not run a plugin but retain its configuration and such.
I have over 10 email addresses that I send email from and receive email at, all end up in the same email account. One is a work email address, another relates to a non-profit I'm involved with, and so on.
Today, when I send an email I must select the appropriate From address depending on who I'm sending the email to and the subject matter.
It would be really great if there was a chrome extension that could read my email and "learn" which from address is appropriate for different recipients, or different email content (perhaps using a Bayesian filter).
I am in need of a modification to the Community Answers plugin for Joomla which does the following: 1) When a user asks a question he is given the choice to pay bitcoins once the question is answered. 2) User with best answer is given the winning amount. 3) Optional Fees on deposit. 4) Needs to be securely coded to avoid theft, hacking, etc.
Source code will need to be made publicly available in github or similar.
Can use MTGOX API: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/MtGox/API/HTTP
Community Answers plugin is (GPLv3)
The Freenet Japanese localization is very incomplete and out of date.
Library currently uses the ancient SnakeYaml library v. 1.5
I would like this plugin to be updated to use v. 1.10
The Freenet network implements a content filter on downloads, in an attempt to remove some of the most obvious security holes. For example, including images from the WWW in a Freenet page compromises the reader's anonymity, in a way that would not be considered a security problem in most other contexts.
The problem is that this can make more complicated pages difficult to write, as there is no convenient way to test what the content filter will do to your document before uploading it.
See bug 3922 for details.
URLs using % encoding for special characters are often handled very poorly. They should work just like other URLs.
The ultimate goal of this bounty (and forthcoming bounties) is to enable the building and loading of Bus Pirate (v4) software from GNU/Linux using exclusively software libre.
A starting point for building a libre pic30 toolchain can be found in the Uniluug PIC microcontrollers article.
I'd like to kick off the creation of a Mozilla Firefox addon that lets users auto-delete tweets from their Twitter account based on fine-grained settings.
I'm thinking checkboxes, like:
[ ] delete tweets/remove RTs after N hours/days/months...
[ ] delete tweets/remove RTs, except the most recent M ones
With additional, negative selection criteria like "DON'T delete tweet if it:"
[ ] has been fav'ed
[ ] has been retweeted
[ ] has been replied to
[ ] contains @mention
[ ] contains #hashtag
More options to be determined. Basically, give users as much control as possible over their Twitter record, while offering options to compromise with other people's expectation of record integrity.
Bonus feature: an "export/backup to local file" function to save text of (re)tweets before deletion/removal.
Possible future gig: port same addon for other browsers
As files on Freenet get old, they become unavailable if they aren't popular. Sometimes people will request that someone reinsert the file. This is currently slow, awkward, and more of a security risk than it could be. Some additional FCP primitives and FProxy interfaces would make writing good filesharing clients easier. Specifically, it should be easy to reinsert only a portion of an existing file, since that is usually all that is required. This would both be faster and more secure than reinserting the whole file. It should also be easy to make sure that you use the same settings as the original uploader, thus avoiding generating a new key.
If a Freenet node is running in gateway mode, it should serve a separate set of bookmarks to non-privileged users.
When offering user support for Freenet, it would be helpful to have a plaintext node stats / diagnostic page available that the user could copy/paste into an email, pastebin, or similar.
Currently, Freenet content is addressed by a mix of different techniques, depending on a variety of factors. Sometimes an http: URL is used, sometimes just the bare key. None of these options manages to be both consistently functional and standards compliant. Instead, Freenet should use compliant URIs of the form freenet:key. In order to function properly, this needs a certain amount of browser support, probably via a plugin.
Django-Userena has a contribution package called 'Umessages' which adds a user-to-user messaging system. The system does not provide any email notifications, so users must log into the website to be notified if they have a message or not, which isn't always reasonable.
I want you to add email notification to this package. The claim will be awarded to the first person who can get a patch accepted into mainline Userena, hosted at Django-Userena on GitHub.
If the code is reasonable but rejected for some reason, the claim will then be awarded anyway.
The stats page on Freenet often has nonsensical values for the breakdown of how much bandwidth has been used for each different type of traffic. For example, negative bytes spent on overhead. The bytes used stats code needs a thorough audit and cleanup.
Implement a Windows 7 jump list for LibreOffice with at least the following elements:
I want the pager 'less' to provide incremental search as I type.
Notch released an awesome 2D game called Minicraft. I started porting it to Android here but don't have time to finish the project.
I'd love to see this game ported to Android, as there is a serious lack of high quality open source games for Android, so please chip in a few bucks and let's make this happen!
We have created a robot which uses the GitHub APIs to format the code of open source projects. We would like a version which, rather than formatting code, finds and fixes common security vulnerabilities, particularly in web applications.
Hi there, there are some Javascript and unfinished Node.js drivers for Neo4j out there, see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8548145/is-there-a-working-solution-for-integrating-neo4j-1-6-in-nodejs
I would like to see a working integration with some basic documentation, preferably based on Neo4js, which is used in the Neo4j Webadmin, too.
I would like to see the creation of a Django library for registering and logging in with OAuth (specifically, Facebook and Twitter). There are already examples of this, but they are either tightly integrated with accounts management or they are non functioning.
I'm working on an open source CMS called Jien Framework, which is based in PHP5.
I would like some help on implementing a categorization system that uses the lft/rgt tree node style.
OpenWatch is a project which covertly records audio and video and uploads it to a remote server. Upgrade the Android client to support OrBot.
LightWrite currently only supports plaintext formatting. I would like it if it supported the 'Markdown' system of text formatting. Markdown should be a toggleable option, like the other options in the menu, and it should render the Marked-down result whenever a new line is entered.
LightWrite gives instructions in the initial text about how to fullscreen. The OSX text says use Command + F, but I would rather it say ⌘F, but Django doesn't like this.
