You're invited to the party.
Detroit Labs is a mobile development shop headquartered in downtown Detroit. Our integrated teams of designers, experience engineers, developers, and system engineers create beautiful apps for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 50 bigwigs. Get an idea of what we're about at:

People turn to us to solve their most difficult problems. We're good at doing that. If you are too, we'd like you to join us.
We're talking to programmers that want to devote themselves to mobile development. iOS, Android, or if you're up for it, both. If you already are a mobile developer, great. If you aren't, that's great too - show us your ability to work with our team, learn new languages and technologies, and we'll help with the rest. Cultural fit, smarts, and a drive to ship real software is required, everything else can be figured out on the job.
Of course we do a lot of Objective-C and Android Java. We also create things with Ruby, Node.js, and Scala, deploy to Heroku and EC2, and work nonstop with git, Cocoapods, maven, jenkins, and occasionally soldering irons and robots (yes, robots). Being close to any of these technologies or their siblings would be helpful. We welcome both vi and emacs users.
Detroit Labs is a consultancy and mobile agency. But we do way more than client services. We invest 20% (or more) of our time and money into weekly Hackdays and our internal research and development process (codenamed: Lab Time. You probably guessed). Hackdays make sure we're working on interesting problems and building stuff with the latest and greatest tools and toys, for our fun and enjoyment. Lab Time projects are investments in promising product ideas that could turn into their own businesses some day.
If all this sounds like your cup of tea, drop me an email at: email@example.com and let's get started.
Can't wait to meet you.
Smart. Great attitude. Loves to ship software. Gets things done.
