As Gun.io has grown from connecting developers with interesting projects to becoming a trusted name in tech talent, our brand needed to evolve with us. Today, we’re excited to share a meaningful update to our identity – one that reflects our maturity while staying true to who we are.
Designed with Purpose
Our previous brand drew inspiration from gaming culture, reflecting our startup roots and early community. But as we’ve built lasting relationships with both enterprise clients and experienced developers, we needed our identity to grow up a bit – without losing our personality. The result is a thoughtful design system that merges space western aesthetics with modern tech sensibilities.
The Heart of Our Identity
At the center of our new brand is a simple promise: Find. Hire. Work. No fluff, no buzzwords – just a clear commitment to connecting great talent with meaningful work. Our iconic cowboy hat logo represents the skilled professional who gets the job done, while our mission-driven illustrations depict the tech landscape as a frontier where expertise meets opportunity.
Platform Improvements
The visual refresh accompanies significant improvements to our core functionality. We’ve refined our mission builder with improved talent matching, enhanced discovery features, and streamlined interview management. The platform now offers better onboarding flows, enhanced profile systems, and improved integration with third-party tools. Behind the scenes, we’ve strengthened our monitoring systems and data protection measures.
Growing Our Community
As our platform evolves, so do the ways we connect with our community. We’re launching on Medium with “Ctrl+F: Find, Hire. Work by Gun.io,” joining conversations on Bluesky, and nurturing our growing Slack community where developers share knowledge and find opportunities.
